Control Panel and A/C controls dead

2020 FR3 34DS

Woke up this morning to find the control panel (water pump on/off; generator on/off; Arctic pack on/off; slide-out controls; etc.) had no lights or working controls. The wall mounted A/C control panels, front and rear, were also dead, as are the overhead lights. The microwave, flat-screen TVs and 110v. outlets were still working. I found the circuit breaker panel opposite the foot of the bed, then actuated all the breakers off to on. Nothing.

The coach is hooked up to our 30 amp socket via a 30 amp male to 50 amp female adapter cable. The house breaker panel which supplies the 30 amp receptacle showed no thrown breakers, but I clicked them all off to on just in case.

Any ideas?

All the dead stuff is 12v. Look at your 12v fuses and any 12v resettable breakers that are usually near your batteries. Also check converter.

Got it! The converter was accidentally unplugged in the power cable compartment. Turns out we were using the house batteries the whole time.

Thanks for your help.

TIP. When storing the MH use a standard extension cord and just plug the converter into it and with the coach batteries not disconnected they will be charged. No need for AC power on the entire coach. Might pull the O2 detector inline fuse in the coach battery compartment also.

Please explain how it was accidentally unplugged? I've never heard of a converter being unplugged.

Not sure about the FR3 but the receptacle for the converter (PD type) in my GT378 is in the ceiling of the power bay and I had found that an excessively long service loop had allowed the plug to almost completely come out with intermittent contact after several camping seasons. I shortened the loop and no more issues. Was it a fluke??

O2 detector? Sure it's not the Propane detector? That's the usual hog.

Glad you identified your problem. I had a problem with very similar symptoms recently and discovered a different cause. Mice had got in, despite my best attempts to keep them out, and chewed through the wiring. Solution to this one cost a lot more!

You're right. Should have said CO/LP detector.
