Converter and generator not charging batteries

I've got a problem on my 2010 Sunseeker 2860DS concerning recharging the batteries. When I got my MH out of storage this spring, the batteries were dead. Enough water boiled out of one cell several inches below the top of the plate. They were 6 year old batteries and I was ready to replace with two 6V anyway. Just bought the batteries last week.

I installed them properly, plugged in the power line and nothing happened. The charge on the battery bounced around from 10.0v to 12.2v. I charged them with a BatteryTender.

I replaced the old WFCO converter with a Progressive Dynamics 9260 because I wanted the storage mode also. After I installed it, voltage at the battery was the same. I charged up the battery from the truck alternator to 13.6v and voltage settled to 12.7v.

I checked the converter without the hot wire attached and read 13.37v so it is working but not charging. I tried the generator and it is not charging either.

The transfer switch between the line power and the generator is working since the outlets read 121v.

What is between the converter and the battery that can go wrong and where is it located?

Second question. Since the output of the converter ranges from 13.2v to 14.4v, where is the filter that produces a constant 12.?v output that goes to the coach? Or does it vary and I've never noticed it?

Thanks to all responders!

Normal charge mode on both WFCO and PD converters is 13.7V. The PD will change modes to 14.4V or13.2V a lot more readily than the WFCO, depending on battery charge. The entire 12V system should be at whatever the converter output voltage is.

The generator will only supply 110V power the converter supplies the 12V. Are you sure that the disconnect switch is not open? just a thought. If the controller is putting out the batteries should charge.

Thanks guys. I finally traced the problem to the Battery Control Center. There is a hidden reset button on the battery disconnect switch that had tripped. The batteries, interior lights and water pumps are happy campers again!!Click image for larger version
