You may have tripped the resettable 12v circuit breaker.

spend $10 on a multimeter. use it to determine if the converter is putting out 12 volt power. if it is then trace it to the battery and check every connection.

possible problems might be:
converter is not receiving 120 vac power
converter reverse polarity fuses are blown
battery shutoff switch has batteries disconnected fro converter
resettable 12 circuit breaker has tripped
batteries not cabled properly for either series or parallel
battery is installed backwards
corrosion in battery cables
loose or open connection in converter to battery power path

Just remember 12 volts is just a name for a system. When a converter is powered up there needs to be a minimum of 13-13.2 volts at it's output terminals or all you are reading is battery voltage.

As for a $10 meter, splurge and spend $20. Amazing how much more accurate the difference can be. Remrmber that the difference betwern charge modes is only a few "tenths of a volt". Cheap meters can have that much variation built into their accuracy before taking any readings.

How do you know it’s not changing the battery? You said it is new, should read around 12.8 volts at the terminal, did you hook up the new convertor correctly? You have a saber I read, turn off your battery disconnect but leave the unit plugged in and see if your 12 volt lights work. If they are working the convertor should be hooked up correctly, you don’t need a battery for it to work. If your lights are working move down to your disconnect and see if you have power there then turn it on and measure at the battery terminals let us know the readings. You did hook up your fuse wire to the convertor correct besides the power 110 v wires. What convertor did you buy?

There are also two high amp fuses on your fuse panel they can be from 30 to 50 amp blade type , if you hit the plus or minus terminals wrong on the new battery you could have blown 1 easy to do, that will stop all power. I assume you have a 50 amp service on a saber, so check your main breakers also flip them off and on, you need a meter that can read both 110v and 12v , if you need to buy one stay away from the cheap crap out there get a good meter.
