Data Safe Batteries in an RV

I had obtained 5 datasafe 12-volt rechargeable batteries for free. The batteries are in excellent shape and were only swapped out if a UPS system because of a scheduled time line.
I was wondering if anyone knew if the charging system an RV would have any issue with charging this type of battery. I'm asking because I am just not sure how much different charging one of these would be in comparison to a typical lead-acid battery.

Thank you,

Hi

Here is the link to the Data Safe battery site. The short answer is yes you can use them in your RV. https://www.power-solutions.com/batt.../datasafe-12hx

Your only consideration will be the weight of the batteries, assuming you are planning to use them all. Happy camping.

Not subscribed so message if you have any questions.

extremebike, Thank you for the info and the web link. I will only be using 2 of the batteries in my 5th wheel so weight should not be an issue. The other 3 will be used in a DIY UPS setup that I am putting together for my saltwater aquarium.

My next questions is whether these batteries will hold up to being charged and discharged again and again. Or are they not designed that way and are made to remain at a float charge and only be discharged and charged 1-2 times a year.

Thanks,
Tom
