Does anyone use a battery shutoff switch?

If you trace your battery's positive lead to your factory installed battery disconnect switch and see any other wires terminated on the same lug of that switch that the battery cable terminates to, there's your parasitic load. Same applies in reverse: if you trace that same positive lead back to the battery and see any other wires on that terminal going back into or under the trailer, there's a parasitic load the disconnect switch won't terminate.
For informational purposes, I removed a wire shared with the positive battery lead on the disconnect switch that went to a junction box underneath my unit, and now have a 100% disconnect of my battery bank when needed.
I suspect the factory wanted certain equipment to always be powered; liabilities perhaps.

I should add that the wire I removed from the battery's lug was connected on the other (electrical load) lug.

I do have and use the battery disconnect switch. I also added a 400 watt solar charger to mine. My 3 batteries haven't drop below 14v all winter.

X2 on my Shamrock. Only thing the switch doesn't kill is the electric hitch as that is connected directly to the battery.

Yes, on my Silverback the front landing gear and rear electric stabilizers are hard wired to the battery so the cutoff switch doesn't affect them. Those two components don't have a parasitic draw.

I installed a Blue Sea Systems 6006 ON-OFF switch on mine. I put it on the positive side.
