Dometic HVAC Thermostat/Contoller

2016 Cedar Creek 38 EL with three Dometic A/c units. The Dometic thermostat/controller will not power up. Checked fuses/breakers in main breaker/fuse box. No faults detected. Any ideas? Thanks in advance.

Check with Dometic, power supply may be independent generated in roof unit

FINALLY was able to get into dealer to take a look. (Three week + waiting list)



I decided to take unit to dealership in order to not void any warranties. They told me that the comm lines in and out in middle rooftop unit (where the control unit is located) were properly "snapped" into place. However, there was enough play in one of the sockets to cause loss of connection. They re-inserted both connectors and reinforced by wrapping with adhesive tape. Unit working absolutely fine now.


I am a dyi guy on most things, but thought better of not monkeying around with this and possibly voiding warranty. Since I am an RV owner, I'm sure, as sure as the sun rises, other issues will arise sooner than later.

Thanks for coming back and letting us know what the problem was. It would have taken a bit of troubleshooting to find that.
