Electric Outlets

I have a 2016 Heritage Glen 5th Wheel.
All the electrical outlets suddenly don't work. Where should I first begin looking for the problem?

Does any of the other 120 volt appliances work (microwave, A/C, etc.)?

Have you checked the gfci outlets to see if they're tripped?

Have you tripped and reset all the power panel breakers?

Start with the basics...

Are you for sure, plugged into shore power or some other form of electric? (you wouldn't be the 1st where the plug had been knocked out/loose)

Does the outlet you are plugging into have voltage? (did you check with meter?)

Is your shore power cord connected to the R/V properly?

Is there power in the end of the cord that attaches to the R/V? (did you check with a meter?)

Is there power at the main breaker in your R/Vs power distribution box? (check with meter?)

Is there power at each of the branch circuit breakers? (check with meter?)

Let us know the results...

Microwave works, TV works. 1 outlet on the island works. All other outlets in RV do not work.

Your original post said all outlets suddenly don’t work.
Now, upon review, you report a number of powered appliances DO work.

Do you have a digital meter and know how to use one?

Sounds like either a GFCI outlet has tripped, or individual 15 amp breakers have tripped in your breaker panel.

Have you tested either of these possibilities?

The inconsistency in your described problem symptoms makes it very difficult to help you. No outlets work vs only one outlet works significantly changes the approach to troubleshooting the problem.

Are you sure you have now described the symptoms completely, or is there something you can offer? What electrical activities took place right before the failure?

Have you checked all the gfci outlets to make sure they aren't tripped?

Did you trip and reset the breakers in the power center?

Do you still have the multi-meter you had in July when you had all those weird electrical problems?

on our trailer the receptacles downstream from the gfci outlet have a little sticker on them that says 'gfci protected'. do the receptacles that do not work have any indication like this?

We only found 1 GFCI on trailer, that was in bathroom. None of the other work, except we have 1 outlet on our island and that works.
We replaced one regular outlet, thinking it was causing problem but its still has now power to it.
My husband also replaced 3 breakers too. No luck either. Not sure if power is even coming to some of the breakers. I know some of them work.

We discovered the outlet to microwave works and one outlet on the island works also the one tv outlet in living room works.
We were thinking it has to do with a breaker not getting power to it. We replaced breaker and still not working.

Check outside outlets for a second GFCI.

why are are you just replacing parts without knowing whether they are the problem or not? for less than the cost of the three breakers you replaced you could buy a meter and use it to verify whether the breakers were working or not.

are the receptacles that are not working all on the same circuit? try to visualize how the power cable is run between them. find the one that is not working that is closest to the distribution panel. most likely the input side of this one could have a loose wire. check to see if this is the case. is it getting power on the cable coming into it? if not you'r going to have to find a receptacle earlier in the cable. it may have power but have a loose connection on its output side. a non contact ac voltage tester would be very helpful.

It's probably time to get a mobile RV tech with a multimeter. They can probably get you fixed up fast and save you further frustration and money of just throwing parts at it.

Sometimes they hide gfci receptacles in the passthru. It would be worth it to check there to see if there's one in there somewhere. Also check the fridge receptacle to see if it happens to be a gfci.

I agree.
I gave the OP basics to check several posts back and the result was replacing parts without knowing if they were even bad.

An inexpensive multimeter and 15 minutes would tell you all you need to know before one single part is ever replaced.

Find someone qualified to check it out and save yourself some money and the hassle.
