A 50 amp RV utilizes a NEMA 14-50R outlet. This is a standard 120/240 volt split phase outlet used for many things. The RV actually has an electrical panel inside the RV that keeps the two hot legs of a 120/240 split phase service separate/split as two 120 volt lines.
This link may help explain this as well as what the difference is between 30 amp 120 volt service and 50 amp 120/240 volt service. Many members get these confused.
