just a guess and it is solely a guess. are the ceiling lights 110 vac lights? it sounds as if you have 110 vac power but no 12 volt dc power. you get 12 vdc power from the batteries and they get recharged from the converter when plugged into shore power. you can even run 12 volt dc devices using the 12 volt dc power provided by the converter. first check would be to see if the converter is getting 110 volt ac power and converting it to 12 volt dc. check the 110 vac circuit breaker for the converter to see that it has not tripped. you should be getting 12 volt power from the converter.

Thanks. It turns out that the GFICs needed reset. We found 3 of them on the board at the foot of the bed. (We are hooked up) . Mow, however, the bedroom ceiling lights, won't turn off. And the rear bathroom lights won't turn on. We are operating on the assumption that there is another gfic , but we can't find it, if there is one.

i guess i'm confused. slides won't go out, master step not working, many lights not working. i'm pretty sure these are all 12 vdc devices. gfci's are 110 vdc devices. resetting them won't have any effect on the 12 vdc devices. I still think you are not getting 12 vdc power.

Check and ensure that your coach batteries are fully charged sounds to me like they are discharged

Don't know if you have this or if it is applicable to your particular RV, but I have read on these forums of certain RV's that have remote controls for certain items like lights...that once you turn them on with the remote, they also have to be turned off with the remote.
Just an idea.

GFI's will have no effect on lighting. They are only on the receptacle circuits that are at or near a water source. (outside, bath, and kitchen) I'm surprised you have 3 and no there won't be a fourth. Lights not going off or off are either a remote problem or a burned contact in the switch. Can you determine if whether these are 12 volt or 120-volt lights?? Sounds like you received some sort of surge because you lost 3 GFI's so I'm gonna guess 120 volts. Check your EMS. Are your slides still not working? They also will not be on a GFI (I assume). Motorhomes are a strange lot.
