Electrical Problem

Lost power to 5 wall receptacles on recent trip. No 12v fuses tripped nor any circuit breakers. Turned every circuit breaker off then back on. Nothing. Powered down whole RV, turned coach battery disconnect off then back on. Still nothing. Did have a GFI trip earlier. Any suggestions on how to isolate and fix problem. I have a 2015 Winnebago Itasca Sunova 33C.

Did you recheck the GFCI outlet? Trailers often have the GFCI as first in a daisy chain of outlets and once it trips, all the downstream outlets are also dead. Next option is to check the last functional outlet. The load side wiring on it may have come loose. If that isn't it, the line side wire in a non-functional outlet may have detached.

Check the one in the bathroom first. It seems to be the most common one to trip.

GFI in living area tripped several times during trip. Always reset. Bathroom GFI never tripped. Dead sockets range from bedroom to over cab. Don't know how to determine last socket on the line. Have two circuit breakers that control power to outlets but no diagram as to which they control. Can GFI's go bad?

Yes GFCIs can fail. The best way to check which master controls which outlets is reset both. Trip one with test button and check to see which outlets are dead. Then do the same with with the other GFCI, You can mark the outlets with colored stick on dots if you want to identify they in the future.

Had the same thing happen in mine and with no idea which plugs came in the wiring sequence I just started pulling them. I also had five dead and it was the outside outlet that had a wire come loose.

Many times it's an outside outlet that causes problems. If the unit has been in a good rain and water got inside the outlet, it will trip the inside master in a gnat's eyelash.

Flybob........

I don’t know how many times I never seem to impress my wife as to the convenience of the stick on dots. I’m so glad to see someone else uses them.....although not a GFCI application here. See photo attached.
Maybe we were separated at birth?

I had to look and see if you color coded which knob goes to which burner, I'm disappointed, they just show the off position.

Found problem. A 3rd GFI underneath attached to inverter. Had tripped. Thanks to all who responded to my plea for help.

Was it a GFI outlet or a breaker? I had the same issue last year and it was the 12A breaker on the back of the inverter. Just checking...
