EMS-HW30C mounting location

Where did you mount the main unit and the read out?

I mounted the main unit in the space behind the converter which means I have to pull the converter (4 screws) to access it.

Is there a reason to mount it in a more accessible space??
I have the readout at eye level which took some time.

That is exactly what I did with ours. I figured the closer I could get it to the converter the better. I mounted the display unit right above the Forest River Control Panel in our unit. It took some fishing to get the wire through the upper kitchen cabinet but it looks like it came in the trailer.

That what I did with my last rig- behind the converter and put the display in the same area. In almost 5 years and hundreds of nights camping (200 nights in 3 years and then 2 years of fulltiming), I never needed to physically get to the surge protector.

I had access to the backside of my breaker/fuse panel/converter through a door under the bathroom linen closet. The panel with the switches is above the power center with open access through the wall. The PI EMS-HW30C was very easy to install in the space.

Scrapper, I very much like where you mounted the display, it's much better than where I was going to mount it. I'm trying to figure out how to run the wire there right now. My father was an electrician so I've spent a little time pulling wire but this is going to be a challenge. I'll have to run it in the false bottom of the upper cabinet then down the wall by the fridge the only access to that wall being through the hole where the speaker is mounted under the cabinet. Gotta love a challenge!

I'll post pics of mine when it's done - don't expect them right away!!

The panel and display are visible from the entry door. As for the cable going from the display to the EMS unit, I just removed the panel from the wall and dropped the cable down through to the EMS below. Maybe 3-1/2 to 4 feet between the two.
