EMS Surge

We bought a EMS-PT50x, it tripped once while plugged in at home. I didn’t think to look at error, lots of flashing red. Took the TT out and plugged in to a 30smp with the adapter. Got power but AC wouldn’t come in. Took out the EMS and AC worked fine.

You have it in the correct sub-forum.
The error code would have been a great help.
Plus... you might want to post trailer division, model, year, etc., in case others know something unique about it.

You always need to pay attention to the error code. The booklet which came with the EMS will tell you what that code means and what you should do.

The original post contains no questions, but I assume it was posted to solicit comments. If the EMS tripped, it may have been doing exactly what it was designed to do. Removing the EMS may not be the right solution, unless the EMS was known or proven to be defective. The error code, voltage readout, or detailed symptoms might be clues at to why it behaved the way it did .

It didn’t trip and there was no error cope on either leg. The AC just wouldn’t come on
