F450- Turn Signals and Brake Lights

Probably not the place to post but I have a 2005 Sunseeker on an F450. I hooked up the boat to the 4 pin connector and the only thing that works is the tail lights. I had to use an adapter to go from the RV round 4 pen to the boat 4 flat pens. I used a tester to plug into the RV plug and it didn't light up at all. I took it off and applied it to my truck and the tester looked fine. I started tracing the RV wiring from the outlet and got about half way up. I found junctions just in front of the rear tires where there is one female 4 pen connector and three mail 4 pen connectors one that is plugged in and the other two aren't. These other two are just hanging there. I checked fuses and they are ok. What's to check above the point I'm at now. Where does the wiring go between the connectors I found upstream? Why is there two extra 4 pen male connectors just hanging three? What would be a good stategy in continuing my checks?
