Factory LED light strip question

I have the LED strip under the awning that came with my 2013 Sunseeker. 3 of the lights have stopped working right in the middle of the strip. Is this a Dometic product that came with the awning, or is it a Forest River installed product? If it is Dometic, can I call them direct for a warranty replacement?

I believe there dometic units but you may have to verify this through your dealer.

Close to 50% of the lights in our strip are out. I wonder if warranty covers this.

i am on my second light strip in 10 months, both warranty replacements. no real reason why they should be failing.

I have ordered a warranty replacement for mine as well. This too has been my 2nd strip in less than 8 months. I wonder if it may be the heat that is causing mine to go out. It gets up to the mid 90's here in Ga, and with it being "insulated" under all of that vinyl its got to be getting pretty hot. I have also purchased a waterproof multi-colored setup that will be arriving today. I will have the warranty replacement (in reserve)as well as the new multi-colored setup (installed). The LED lights are just "taped" to the groove in the awning roller. Mine had a quick disconnect connector, so this may be something that the manufacturer counted on dying quite often. The good thing is you can get the for under 20 bucks online.

Did you get the replacement from the dealer or Dometic? My dealer is 3 hours away, I'm not driving there just to replace a $20 strip of lights.

Our Surveyor SP 220 has the factory LED lights on the awning, but it is a Carefree of Colorado electric awning, not a Dometic. After just a few trips, we saw several of the individual lights blinking or going out altogether.

It was a warranty issue, and our dealer's service dept said it was a known issue. They said they were notified that the awning company had used a bad batch of the light strips and had sent new ones to the dealer's parts department.

We took it in and got the strip replaced, and no problems since. It really looks bad when a few of them are not burning, in our opinion.
