Incorrect, it only kicks on when charger is above 15A as the 300AH battery requires that current to run the heating. At that point it is not charging it is just using the charger to heat the battery until it reaches temperature then the BMS allows charging.
A lithium battery can be drawn down in colder temperatures just needs much management to charge in colder temps.

Interesting, I always thought the heaters were internally powered from the battery.

Of course if you mount them inside the trailer like I did it's not really an issue either way.

True, I wanted to use the "somewhat external" battery bay which I enclosed to road spray with corrugated plastic (like trailer mfgs use underneath). I have yet to use the heating function even when we parked at WV rest stop last week in the freezing rain where it dropped below freezing overnight. My battery bay is the last compartment on the driver's side of my rig. It was originally open to the frame/road until I enclosed it.
