Interesting read. Keep posting details.

I'll throw out one reason I might want redundant batteries.
I'm an amateur radio operator. I want to operate while boondocking.
I might want to have redundant batteries that I can split in the field to have a clean power source for my radios. But also available to supplement the RV.

(Inverters, converters, and solar chargers generally produce tremendous RF noise and are poor choices to power a two way radio. A seperate battery is as clean a power source from an RF noise perspective that you can get.)
