Firman Generator - 7500W Running/9400 Peak - Tri Fuel $699

Seeing this on sale at Costco for $699 in the warehouse, $799 online.

https://www.costco.com/online-offers...22_MVM_Preview

https://www.costco.com/.product.100648883.html

Looks like it'll run my dual AC 5ver.

Reviews talk about THD (total harmonic distortion) of 25% and could damage electronics.

I'd like to hear the thoughts from this board on Firman and this generator. Is there something to connect between the RV and the generator to solve the THD issue?

That is an open frame Construction generator ( not an inverter generator). It is also extremely loud and likely no allowed in any campground. Power is very dirty for electronics.

Yep, at a very loud 74db noise rating, it's only appropriate for desert camping or racetrack camping.
Easily exceeds National Park standard noise max.

We have this generator for backup home power. It’s very loud and very heavy. I don’t even consider it for camping.

Great generator, though.

Beware of high fuel consumption. Could be as high as 2 GPH or more. Noise? That Gen set is best used as standby residential/business use. If you need to run both A/C's in your 5th Wheel, Break camp and go North like the rest of us Snow Birds do. (Looking for you, Coffee's on!) Safe & Happy travels
