Forest river wildwood electrical trouble

Hi I’m having trouble finding out what’s wrong with my camper. One weekend afternoon I woke up to my ac not working in my camper then I noticed the lights wouldn’t turn on either so nothing would work besides the outlets and microwave. So I did a little research and called two dealer in my area and was told I needed to replace the converter. So I pulled the converter and when I did it was hot and the fan wasn’t even running. So I replaced it and still nothing.

Looks like everything that's not working requires 12 volt power.

Tell us what all you did to determine that the converter was bad?

Give us the make and model of the converter?
Did you find any blown fuses or tripped 12 volt breakers?

Have you tested the battery voltage to see if it's completely dead?

The dealer told me that it had to be the converter so I replaced it and still same problem but I still need to take the converter that they sold me to go get tested I just figured the new one didn’t work either due to it being hot and the fan was on I even talked to our electrician and he’s stumped on the whole thing as well as me. I’m just at my wits end. I checked breakers and fuses and tested everything with volt meter and everything seems to have power. I can’t think of anything else.

Motoman, let's do some basics, troubleshooting, and we can also get to ways to workaround a non functioning converter

Please read this thread below to get a fundamental understanding of your RV's two different 120 volt AC and 12 volt DC systems. Once you get that basic down, we will go into why the 120 volt Air conditioner has to have the 12 volt DC thermostat to function. We will also look at some other things.

Do you have your battery installed. Usually you can connect a battery charger to this battery to recharge it, so your 12 volt DC things will operate with a non functioning converter.

Let me know when you have read this link and we can proceed.
