generator

Looks like it is time to figure out why the generator won't start. Guess I will have to find the manual and then pull it out of the location to troubleshoot it. It turns over and the prime light comes on but will not start. Sunseeker 3010ds. Really lucky on this unit as it a 2018 built on a 17 chassis so probably built late 17 or early 18. Any ideas?

First thing I would try is new spark plug. Then go from there.

Well I would try that, but could not find any manuals on the unit, so the next thing is to figure out how to slide it out. There maybe several items that need to be disconnected when slide out.

Have you been excercising it monthly w/load for an hour or 2? If not, probably stale fuel in carb bowl.

I believe that is going to be the problem as it has set quite a while. The first thing is to get it to be able to slide out. Found two bolts that may be holding the slide fixed so camping this weekend and don't need the generator will get back to it next week. Thanks to all who submitted back to me.

I have a 2016 3010 DS and my generator does not start easily. It has to be cranked and primed a lot. Once it starts it runs fine but getting it going is a chore. You could try a shot of ether.

OK, I have figured out the problem and spoke with a person where I bought MH and he said that it has to be dropped out to work on, but if I think it is the carburetor, buy a new one and change it and the spark plug can be changed with out dropping it. So I will remove the carb and if it is gummed up, new carb and spark plug next week. Will have to lift the front so I can get to it as belly won't fit under.
I think this needs to be closed now and if needed will open a new one.
