Generator exhaust directly under oil drain plate

Tried to change the generator oil for first time this weekend. However, was unable to accomplish and will have to re-attack. First, the torx screws holding the plate are rusted and wouldn't budge. Motorhome is less than 1 year old! I'll try to hit them with some PB Blaster to loosen them up. Also, I couldn't get a socket on one of the screws which is directly above the exhaust pipe. The one I could access wouldn't budge anyway due to rust. I bought a torx wrench (kind of like an allen wrench) which will hopefully work without having to take off the exhaust pipe. However, may need to disconnect the exhaust pipe to remove the plate.

Anyone else have similar issues? Unfortunately, a simple two minute job is becoming a pain.

Yes I used a screwdriver with a pair of vise grips. Afraid of stripping the torch head screw but I put pressure against exhaust pipe to get it as straight as possible. Good luck . let the pb blaster work.
