Generator size to charge battery

I have a WOLF Pup 16HE with the 12V fridge.
I am considering buying a 2500 Watt Inverter to charge the battery and run the fridge during the day. I have a larger inverter generator that can run the AC, but would like something lighter for when the AC is not required.
Will the smaller unit do what I need?

Thanks.

it will do just fine for charging and running the fridge (I have a older Honda i2000)

you could try even running the air conditioner...

but 2500w may have to rev higher and be more noisy for the a/c
The 3500 will run quieter.. less load on the motor

Make sure the battery is charged ... so converter does not need to be drawing high amps to charge the battery...

Before buying generator go to home depot and see if you can rent one to try it out

If just charging a battery and running nothing else, a 1000watt generator will do the job with most converter/chargers up to 60 amp size.

My new 50 amp charger only draws ~750 watts at full output.

Any 2000w inverter generator can do everything except running the a/c. It doesn't cost much more than a 1000w inverter generator, which can't run the microwave.

Also If the 2500 has trouble starting the a/c

you can try soft start... on the a/c

Yup correct the 1000w will charge batteries and even heat coffee and other small stuff

But I have no experience using one .. only the i2000 which was bought years ago for another reason
