Gfci tripping

The gfci in my garage trips when I connect my apex 245bhs to shore power with all the trailer breakers off.

I tested outlet in the garage with a tester.

Any help would be great

How are you connecting? The shore power cord with an adapter or an extension cord? With all the breakers off it sounds like a power cord problem.

Shore power cord, surge protector, adapter, extension cord. Surge protector reads everything is fine.

Plugging your RV into a GFCI outlet often causes problems. Try plugging it into a non-GFCI home outlet.

That works fine. So did plugging it in at a campground. Just a huge pita to get ready to take it out. Only non gfci outlets are in my basement...

The water heater element had a very small crack in ours that tripped it. Cheap and easy to replace. To test, unplug it, tripping the breaker is not good enough.
