Go power - GP-PWM-30 polarity fault

I will start by saying that this is a new epro 19fbs have had it running in the drive way for 3 weeks no problems.
Suddenly yesterday alarm tone started with polarity fault on battery 2.

I have soft booted the controller it holds about 5 minutesand starts back with alarm. What is strange is wiring didnt change just started from no where.
Called the dealer but it is Christmas .
Also sent email to Go-power also Christmas.

Shore power fine but have to unhook ground on second battery to stop noise and shut down controller. We are boondocking in Lenoir City Tn., this saturday need help.

With the batteries disconnected, what is the voltage of the batteries? Are they the same? What type of battery?

If wiring is correct, ( you said nothing changed) could be defective controller Try switching controller to battery wiring and see if it reports other battery reversed. This would point to controller.

Go Power rep contacted me today and advised its possible the controller took an electrical spike of was just a defective controller. I will be preforming a hard
reboot tonight at their direction and either way if this fails they are sending me a new controller free of charge to replace my defective one so far great service from the company. Will keep you all advised of the status.

That's great news.
Hopefully this kind of support continues across all lines/manufacturers.

Thumbs up Update for GoPower Controller

Working with GoPower has been great so far top notch customer service!

At their direction I performed a Hard Reset on the controller. This required me to unhook the board from the battery and solar panel for 15-min. then reconnecting to controller.

This worked initially and held for 6-days before going into fault again.
I called them back and they immediately sent out a new controller board.
I will send an update as soon as I install the new part this weekend.

Have contacted Forest River they advised if this doesn't work to return to
dealer and they will work with the dealer to fix the system.

So far so good!

Thumbs up Looks like its fixed!

UPDATE:!!!

Go-Power sent a new solar controller. I installed it on 12/30/2018 and it has ran fine since installation. We were caught up in the Federal Shutdown so haven't been able to take the camper to the woods yet. We have been running it in the driveway. We hope to take it out on the 15th of February! (If we don't shut down again!?) We are running lights, Heat occasionally and TV at times to see how the batteries hold and recharge seems to work fine if we get just a little sun. Recharges to 100% never drops below 85-90 %. Thanks for the advice and help you all offered.
