GoPower Solar Flex connector lifted on panel

While cleaning the solar panels on top of our new Dynamax ISATA5 28ss, I noticed the connector on one of the panels was lifted. I’m thinking something caught the cable and lifted the connector. Anyone have suggestions for how to fix?

Thanks very much for any thoughts.

Roof penetration, so you'll want to get some dicor (or appropriate sealant for your roof) and get this back down and weather tight. Maybe some eternabond tape to keep the wires from getting caught by low hanging branches, etc.

FYI. I heard back from GoPower Tech Support:
“…that is the junction box off the panel that has lifted. If still connected it could be pushed back into place and some silicone re-applied. If not then the entire panel would need to be replaced.”

I’m trying to figure out how to test to see if the panel is still connected. My VictronConnect app is only seeing the SmartBMV and one of the SmartSolar MPPT 100/30. When I first checked my solar gear last month during initial inspection, I believe there were (2) SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 that I networked together using VE.Smart Networking. Now I only see (1) SmartSolar MPPT 100/30. I’m hoping that this is not related to the one panel junction box being damaged.

For the damaged junction box, I unplugged the connector cables and tested the panel with a volt meter. It matches the one next to it, so I believe everything is still attached and producing fine. I’m going to push it back into place and re-apply new sealant Sikaflex-221 Polyurethane Sealant/Adhesive.

For reconnecting the SmartSolar MPPT 100/30 to the VictorConnect app, it looks like I will need to figure out how to power cycle the controller that is not showing up.
