Headlights

Sorry just got this M/H and can't seem to get the headlights to come on. The running lights (small ones come on) but not the big headlights with the amber marker inside. Checked everything all fuses and tried all combinations of the switches.
Any Ideas?

Anyway to check the headlight switch, if markers are coming on the switch is probably ok. Don't know that chassis but next logical check would be the headlamp relay. Its powered by the HL switch and then closes a relay for the much larger load of the headlamps. Next call to make would be to Freightliner since they built the chassis, FR just mount the components for the chassis. Maybe someone in cust service can look up the design. Be sure to give them the VIN for your chassis.

markers are not coming on either and I have switched the relay with another and still nothing. Looks like the switch I guess. This switch you turn for the other lights and then pull up for the headlights.
Thanks for the info

As silly as it sounds some vehicles will disable headlights if the emergency/ parking brake is engaged. It can even be a little as 3 clicks on chevy models.

Anyway just a thought..!

took the air brake off and still nothing. The small driving lights come on when I turn the switch (also when I click for highbeams the driving lights small ones has the high beam). When I pull up on the switch alittle light comes on shows like a headlight. There is also a button the steering wheel that looks like it should be the headlight, but when I push it nothing happens.
Hope some of this makes sense!

Could be for high beams if not in stalk. Seem to have power to and through HL switch. Wiring both power and grounds or relay seems like remaining causes. Are lamps good?

Might be the ground. I had a problem with my headlights a while back and traced out the ground. I found FR had used a self-tapped trim screw to the frame. The only thing making contact was the threads which had oxidation on them. No paint had been removed where the cable touch the frame. Wire wheeled off some paint, drilled a hole and bolted that cable to the frame. Sprayed battery terminal protector over it and it's been good ever since.

You remove the switch with a putty knife or trim tool, insert in bottom edge and pry outward. You can unplug it and take it to any Dodge dealer for a replacement.

As I understand the button on the Freightliner wheel is to flash your headlights/high beams.

I would be most suspicious of the steering wheel button or the relay it controls.

Don't know if the headlamps are good that was the only thing I didn't check when I got the motorhome. The fog lights go on even if the switch is not pulled. The parking lamp in the headlight only goes on when the emgency flashers are going.
I will switch a couple more relays it has to be in there or there is a relay I am not finding.
Looking at the picture of the switch what is it am SUPPOSE to be turning on going all the way to the right? and what cargo lights on the roller switch? It's not my bay lights they have another switch by the door.
This is not my first motorhome or trailer. I just don't have a manual for this Tsunami
Thanks for help.

unless frieghliner used the cargo light relay for something, I suspect it does nothing. But that is how I know the switch is for a Dodge p/u. The switch itself looks the same (and BTW uses the same plug in the back) for virtually all mid to late 2000 Chrysler products. The rotary goes up to first detent which is dome lights on, second detent is cargo light.

From left to right - off - parking lights - headlights on. The pull function is only for fog lights and should only pull out when in park or on.
