I blew it.

05 wildwood Le. I hooked up to my buddies home 240v well he didnt tell me i assumed and didnt ck 1st. So blew capasitors on psb and fuse i changed. Microwave works furnace blower spins but sluggish and wont activate sail switch frig i get 120 to outlet but nothing there. Im getting 120 into board but not 13.6v out to charge battery that turns around and runs furnace frig and lights etc. Checked relay on camper frame i have continuity. What am i missing here fuses in power supply good also. If its a diod or other component? Wouldnt the surge stopped at the capacitors and fuse? Or kill everything up to the fuse? Boards a little dirty and small board is a little burnt from capasitors blowing but think its ok. So with multi meter ready for some checking or plan B Drinks
P.s. not good at soldering but have continuity. Thanks and new respect for computer techs.

Hard to tell , but IMO Id buy a new unit or see if the MFG could repair yours.. I would not use the existing in its current condition

I thought about that being as old as it is also. But then again im thinking if its a cheap part and i hook it up on a bench and it works make sure it runs a bit and is safe well why not.Just hoping for a temp fix if nothing else.Until i do deside to get a new one.

In almost every instance of hooking a 120 volt RV to a 240 volt supply the converter is fried beyond repair. Your best course of action is to replace the converter.

It also fries the fridge a lot of the time. Spend a little time testing everything in the RV to see if anything else got fried during the episode.

Ive tested about everything it seems as tho unless your getting 13.6 v from converter thongs will just not run or run right but some things work intermittently. Its like its on life support.Best corse of action is new setup.Just hard to swallow.Just have this gut feeling its somthing small and it would fix.prob gonna have to buy psb and fridge board.errr

My Dad plugged his Heartland into 240. Over the next year they ended up replacing (most covered by insurance) every electrical appliance, a/c, converter, and lots of melted wiring. And they still had problems. They ended up selling it for nothing to a friend who knew what he was getting.
Hopefully you will have better luck, but be prepared for continuing problems.
