The YouTube video linked below was posted about a month ago, in case you missed it. It would be of most interest to those who are Electrical Engineers, or are interested in electrical engineering. It presents in-depth comparison data from the lab testing of LiFePo, AGM and FLA batteries. The video is very detailed in its explanation of the results and a bit long, though I (
not an EE) found it to be a rewarding effort.
The comprehensive testing was done by Tom Morton (
Mortons on the Move) who is an EE with experience designing power systems. He partnered with BattleBorn, which funded all the testing equipment, but he was free to design and conduct all the test planning and execution. In addition, on his
Battery Testing pages, Tom has posted all the hardware and parameters used in the battery testing as well as the millions of data points gathered so that you can slice and dice it in whatever manner you desire.
