Intermittent fan noise

In my. 2019 Salem FSX 167rb the fan in the electrical circuit panel makes noise. Like it goes off and on or high then low. It did like that for about 30 minutes.

probably the converter cooling fan running because it's having to work harder due to a weak battery.

Intermitent fan in CB Panel

Thanks for responding. the Battery is good and the panel confirms it . this is a new Camper and is plugged in to my home. Since I had it it only was intermitent twice. No problem since I posted the problem.

Thanks for your support and be well

‘And the panel confirms it’. Any display of battery condition will be overridden by the converter output voltage if the converter is plugged in and running. Some load (batteries, lights, heater, etc) was causing the converter to put out increased power and heat that the fan was trying to cool.

Intermittent fan

I am not using a generator. Camper is plugged into a 30 amp breaker in my shed.

Fan can also run with lighter loads if the ambient temp is higher. It' temperature controlled.

Converter doesn't care if the power comes from generator or shore power.
One sure way to get my converter fan running is when we turn on all the 12v lights

The idiot lights on the panel, are not a reliable source and will always show full if you are plugged into shore power.
You need to unplug and use a multimeter or hydrometer to test the battery.

Whenever we turn on 2 or more of the 12V lights, the converter fan comes on. I think it is working as it should.

Don't get a Power Dynamics converter then. Haven't heard its fan once since I upgraded.

You need to turn up your hearing aid then
It's amazing the things I hear when I turn mine up, some of them are actually real!

One of the advantages of leaving the hearing aids out. And I don't need them for the voices in my head anyway....😉
