Inverter Possibilities

So im trying to figure out houw to run electrical outlets without shore power and/or generator power. I have a 2019 PUMA 32RKTS, and can only run lights, awning, slides, fridge and fan in the bathroom on DC power. Non of the Electrical Outlets are powered up and i cant find a transfer swith anywhere. Any suggestions?

Hi There & Welcome to the FRF,
In order to run 120v appliances you need to have a power source capable of providing the required demand. For RV 120v, you can get that power from:
Shore power supply
Generator
Inverter (Batteries Required)
Solar (Via an Inverter as solar recharges the batteries).

You must determine your needs to get a system that “fits”.

Here is a link posted by a site team member that can help you figure all that out:

There are other resources available as well.

It also depends on how many appliances you want to run while on battery power. If just running a tv, a small inverter (200 watts) and one house battery will suffice. If you want to run a microwave, toaster or coffee maker, you will need a larger inverter (2000 watts or more) and several deep cycle batteries.

Most RVs are equipped with a converter, using a/c power from generator or shore power to charge d/c batteries and in turn d/c loads.
An inverter can pull power from the battery and invert it to a/c power. It requires many batteries to create a sufficient reserve of power to draw from. Many batteries would result in lots of extra weight and storage space;
the enemies of efficient RV design.

the quickest and easiest method to provide 120v power, when 'off grid', is to pick up an 'off the shelf' power inverter, such as a W*mt, in the tire and battery section, or auto parts stores.
Some can be plugged into your existing 12v DC plug, if you have one, or can be wired directly to your battery(s) with included 'alligator clips'.
The power inverter gives you several 120v outlets, and usually several USB outlets, too.

You can easily run an extension cord to the tv, or what you're wanting to power.

now, in order to run an Inverter thru your current 120v outlets, in a coach that was not designed that way, is not so simple. The inverter's output must enter the Main Panel, and then serve only the breakers that the outlets are on.
Most panels are not designed this way, they are factory customized for those coaches that do have 'whole house' inverters.
Also, the possibility of 'cross over/backfeed' of 120v power from more than one source is a safety concern, which is why Inverters that are 'built in' have their own 'automatic transfer relay' to stop inverting power when Shore or Generator power is present.

Your dealer should have explained how the two different electrical systems work in RVs. Suggest you Google "the 12 Volt Side of Life".
Your Puma's outlets will only work if plugged into shore power or a generator because there's no whole house INVERTER.
All RVs have factory CONverters, few have factory INverters. Those that do are usually for the residential fridge only.
If you want to run the outlets, you'll have to install a large inverter into the wiring system and install at minimum 2-4 true deep cycle batteries, not dual purpose marine batteries.
