Inverter question

There is a switch in the camper that turns the inverter on & off. When connected to shore power, which will be 95% of the time, do I turn it on? Or leave it off? Not sure which is correct. Thanks

I usually turn mine off when connected but leave it on all the time when using the coach and on the road. When 110 volt is present from shore power or the generator, it just goes into an idle state and draws very little and just sits there. There are some who leave it on in case of power failure, but it's a personal choice. You won't hurt it and it doesn't take any significant power.
