Lithium

Good morning everyone. I am wanting to upgrade to 2 300 amp/hr Lithium batteries wired in parallel. This would replace our 4 6 volt wet cell batteries in series. My question is to Riverstone 5th wheel owners that may have completed this upgrade, will the factory installed converter recognize the lithium batteries. Also will the inverter operate normally.

We have a 2023 Riverstone legacy 419 rd.

Step 1) Go look at your power center/converter and get the make and model number. Then perform either Step 2A or Step 2B

Step 2A) Look up the specifications for the converter on the internet, or
Step 2B) Come back here and report the make and model and one of us will look it up for you.

Forest River changes the components/accessories/features in their RVs all the time, even mid-year. Their published information reserves for them the right to do this. Even if someone else had a 2023 Riverside Legacy 419RD, there's no guarantee that it has the same power center as yours.

The inverter should operate without change. If you wanted to have more capacity, you could swap it out for a bigger one, but if you're happy with what you've got, it's not necessary.

as others said get your converters model number and check if it is
IF it is NOT lithium capable , you can still use it ...... add a small lifepo4 charger or some solar.

how often are you going to be at a place without shorepower hookup?
if you rarely boondock....... one battery would more than likely be all you need

do you expect to run a lot of stuff off an INVERTER what size is it?
what fridge do you have and any other power requirements such as Cpap ?

Thanks I will get the converter model number and look that up. I didnít realize the manufacturer would change out components so often. We do go off grid very regularly with all the extra electronics

Moved thread from the Modifications and Updates section to the Electrical and Charging Systems sub-forum since the OP's questions are specific to that sub-forum.
