looking for electrical help

I'm new to RV's and this site so please bear with me if I'm in the wrong place.

I bought a used 2008 Palomino pop up trailer and I'm trying to get it ready for camping. At one point I was able to get power from the outlets inside the trailer but then it stopped.

I did some digging and found that the GFI plug was popped and would not reset. I replaced the GFI. My first test was to run something off the GFI plug without connecting the load side. Worked fine. When I connected the load side the GFI pops and will not reset.

There are 3 outlets on the load side. 2 inside the trailer and 1 outside. I replaced all 3 outlets with residential outlets. (I have read that the RV outlets are prone to failure.)

The GFI still pops! I'm told there is a short someplace in the trailer but I have no idea how to find it. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Thanks ...g

Disconnect the three outlets one at a time and see if the GFI stays set.

Looks like the problem is with the refrigerator. I flipped the power switch off on the panel outside and the inside electrical is fine. There is an RV outlet that the refrigerator plugs into. I'm going to check it next.

The outlet feeding the refrigerator works fine. My brother is an HVAC tech and a long-time RV camper. He got me to start the refrigerator using propane and it works as well. He says he can fix it the next time I see him.

Thanks cboss. ...g

Running on propane uses 12 volt power, not 120 volt. The outlet could still be bad. Good that your bro is checking it.
