Turbs, are you thinking just replace with another WFCO that she could get close by at Camping World?

I don't think PD would be locally available and I didn't think they were "plug compatible" either are they?

I just checked and the New Braunfels Camping World has the 55 amp and "may" have the 45 & 65 amp WFCOs ("hot item -- quantities limited").

Correct assumption about installing a pd unit as there needs to be some case modifications although minor the op's dh may not be capable of such mods on the road.

Barry if you would check the case size between at pd 9270 and a 9255 in reference to the case size on a wfco 50-55.

I know a pd9270 is wider but is a pd 9250 or 9255 closer to the wfco?

I'm busy operating right now or I'd look.

if you just installed a new battery, you may have either wired it backwards or accidently did for a second, which will set off the 12v resettable breaker/fuse that's located along the Trailer's A-frame, between the battery and the front of the trailer.

should look like this:

Dan, things were working just fine for a while. It really sounds like the battery just discharged slowly.

PD9270: 3.6 x 8 x 9
PD9245: 4.5 x 8.25 x 7.25

I think Progressive Dynamics has a direct conversion kit for the WFCO 55W converter. Part #PD4655V. But you have to modify it - you don't need their case.

You switched the last two numbers.
Should be 9" wide and 7.25 wide and thats the difference between wfco and pd.

The 4655 doesn't have charge wizard .

Edit: they now DO have charge wizard for the replacement.

I like the 9200 series better.

Two things could be wrong, battery hooked up backwards or battery disconnect has been enabled. Only two things that could be wrong.

Awesome! I really like the mobile RV tech concept. Had one do work for me a couple of weeks ago. Very knowledgeable, friendly, actually seemed to think that his livelihood was dependent on making the customer happy. What a concept eh!

It was the converter! He pulled it, showed me where it had burned out, replaced it with a new one, and viola! It works!

That's great, but the big question is "What burned the original out?" That's what would concern me. Did he have a clue as to the cause?

Personally I was rooting for wmtires blown reverse-polarity fuses (hoping to award him the FRF Physic Tech award), but that would have to mean that your husband goofed when he out the battery in, and we can't have that!
