Motion detector lights

Good morning
My rig is a 2019 Forester MBS. Have 2 motion detector lights, one at the entrance steps and in the bathroom. At times, both lights randomly come on very frequently and annoying during the night.
Help is appreciated

They make motion lights that have a three way switch, on, off, and motion on.

Can you post a picture of the light? We probably have the lights in our 2019 Sunsseker classic. We have no problem with them turning on randomly at night. However, I added a switch for the light in the stairwell to disable it from coming on while we are driving.

I can only think your problem is either defective lights or bad placement of the lights.

Motion detector lights

Hope I’m posting in right place.
Have 2019 Forester 2401W MBS
There are 2 motion detector lights, one at entrance stairs and in the bathroom that randomly come on & off. Have had the unit in the shop twice with no success. Last time ( a week ago) both lights were replaced and both lights randomly turn & off every 1-2 mins. No help from dealer and no response from FR. Suggestions please

I’ll be interested in what you hear.

I was not aware that factory motion lights were on the MBS units.
Are we to assume you are the original owner?
Did these motion lights EVER work correctly?
Pictures help, especially for anyone that replies that owns a similar Forester.

We do install these motion lights in everything we currently build.
This is the first time I have heard this issue.
Going to reach out to the supplier for some advice. Just so I understand the lights are coming on periodically when there isn't any movement?

Yes, they come on randomly approx every 2 mins with no movement. In fact, I pulled one out where it was installed and put it face down to block any movement and it still comes on randomly.Thank you

2019 forester mbs. On my entrance light
I had to put tape covering 1/2 the sensor because it keeps coming on driving at night (whom ever placed it there obviously never drove thought people drive at night.)
And the one in bathroom never worked.
1 month ago they replaced the bathroom one and now it keeps turning on and off all day and night like yours. Even with door closed, the light shines out under door and bothers wife. I will be unplugging it and switching back to cheep harbor freight one that works perfect. Or find something that works on Amazon?

I was browsing because I have a 2020 Sunseeker 2440DS with the same motion detector lights/configuration as clanthon. And my lights are doing the same on/off with absolutely no motion as his but were fine for 2-3 months. Any advice you could give me is very much appreciated.

Having the same issue with the motion lights, I have a 2021 3011 when sitting on the couch watching tv at night with no movement the stairwell light cycles on and off all night. Same thing with the bathroom motion light at night with the door shut Laying in bed I see it come on and off through the night and shine under the door. Its always done it since we owned it.

Our 3010DS Sunseeker has the same lights and both also randomly come on and off as well. Last week we put it into underground storage for the winter so can’t get to it until April. It would be great if FR would supply new lights and I would install them myself and send the defective lights back. Getting any dealer support where We purchased our camper is an exercise in futility.

K. Katzenberger of FR saw my post and sent me 2 new lights. I’ve replaced one land it works correctly and will replace the other one. Thank you Kerry. Regarding this issue, I had an appt to drop my rig off at Manassas VA Camping World. They had the rig for 5 weeks and that was with an appt.! Both “new” lights did not work correctly. What are the odds of both new lights not working?

I used a bit of nail polish to block some of the "view" on my annoying light in the stairwell on a 3011. It fixed the issue.
