Multistage convert upgrade?

Hi,
Trying to decide if I should upgrade to a multistage converter.
I understand it’s benefit of faster charging and not overcharging my batteries when using shore power or a generator. Typically, when we are camping at a site with shore power I use a standard RV/Marine 12 volt battery as back up if needed. I have 2, 6 volt Trojan T105’s I reserve for use when dry camping and shore power is not available. I recharge as needed with solar panels and controller.
I’m not that concerned about charging speed or over charging the 12 volt battery when using shore power and I’m not using shore power when using my 6 volt batteries. Are there other concerns or advantages with my described system that I should consider in making the multistage converter upgrade decision?
I’m assuming the charging occurring while towing the camper is minimal?
Thanks!

If you are mainly plugged in, I do not see a Benefit. I upgraded mine for faster charging for my off grid adventures.

Your signature says you have a 2018 model TT. Chances are excellent your existing converter is a multi-stage unit alteady.

If it's meeting your needs why spend money?.

It should significantly reduce the water usage, if that is a concern to you.

As stated you already have a 3 stage charger built in to your converter.

Yes, the alternator in your truck will maintain the charge in your battery and will provide minimal additional charging due to the voltage regulator seeing an average voltage between the truck battery(s) and the camper's Battery(s) and adjusts charge rate as necessary. Since the starting battery charges LOTS faster than a deep cycle battery, the charging current drops off rapidly and does the storage battery very little good after an hour or so.

I attached a PDF that explains it much better than I.

Thanks,
I was told it was a single stage but after checking the model number myself, it is a multistage!
Problem solved, thanks so much for your response and saving me time and money!

You might have been talking to an "old head".

The older campers only had single stage and were known for killing batteries.

Maybe whoever you talked to had not "updated" his knowledge to keep up with the times.
