need advice on portable solar kit for pop-up, single battery

I want an easy to use portable system to keep my single battery charged while boondocking. I was leaning towards the Go Power 120W system with PWM controller for mid-$500's but then ran across Renogy starter kits that I could likely make a portable system from. With them, I could get the 200W kit with MPPT controller for $420 (plus what I'd spend on hinging the panels together, cable supplies, leg support, etc.)

I'm not sure whether I should spend another $100 to get the turnkey system or build my own with the Renogy. I don't know if the MPPT controller and additional 80 watts on Renogy is necessary or overkill.

If I need to also run an inverter to power my laptop does that change the equation?

Advice?
