New 3-stage Converter needed?

Hi all,

I have come to the realization that I need to replace my original converter in my RV. I haven't looked at the make/model of the converter yet but I am relatively certain that it is the original converter that came with my camper (2004 Sunseeker 3100SS).

Here's my question:
I was thinking of replacing my converter with a new 3-stage model but I'm not sure I need a 3-stage. It would be a heck of a lot easier to replace the existing converter with a similar model (cheaper too). The reason why I don't think I need a 3-stage converter is because I rarely charge my batteries using my RV (and have no intention upon doing so in the future). I store my RV at home and pull the batteries out during the winter months (where I check them monthly and charge with a 3-stage charger if needed). During the season, I pull my batteries and charge them between camping trips (we dry camp 99% of the time).

Am I missing something?
