New RV- battery has over voltage error

Hi guys,

I am very new to RV world. I just purchased a 2024 wolf pup 14cc. I love it but it is giving me an over voltage error. This unit does have a solar panel. The battery reading have been inconsistent by going from 11 to 15. I have shut down the electrics just so I don’t damage anything. I think something up with the solar panel controller. Any advice?

what does it read when you got a load on it?

Most likely, what you are seeing is the voltage coming into the solar charge controller, not the battery. Test the voltage of the battery independently from the solar charge controller. What type of battery chemistry do you have?

Found out it was a grounding issue. The solar company and the RV manufacturer had two ways of grounding. On said to put ground to the battery and the other had ground going to the trailer chassis. Thanks guys for the responses. Seriously when companies don’t know their own product.
