Newbie with charging questions

I have an enclosed storage bay with a 120VAC outlet. I have one chassis battery and one coach battery in my Georgetown MH. For a 3-4 week storage period would you connect a trickle charger to either the chassis OR coach battery? Would you disconnect the battery leads while charging?

Any advice would be appreciated.

thanks

A 3-4 week storage period should not be a problem for the chassis battery. It also should not be a problem for the coach battery if you turn the battery disconnect switch to off to prevent drain from things like CO detector.

During winter months I go to storage yard once every 3-4 weeks and start engine and also exercise generator. Never had any trouble starting.

We left our Sunseeker in storage from Thanksgiving until late March the first year we had it. I had no power for a charger and didn't start it during those months. It started right up and the batteries were fine.

By the way, unless you plan to do all of your camping in locations with electrical hookups, you should consider at another coach battery. One battery will last about one night if you run the furnace a lot. It takes hours for the generator to fully recharge the battery (or batteries). There are threads in this forum giving tips on the best way to run the cables for a second battery.
