GFIs do go bad. I assumed you checked/reset the Breaker for the outlets.

A lot of times....

If a GFCI will not reset using the button on the device, it's either faulty or there is no power to the GFCI. Some time circuit breakers trip but they don't move the trip handle. What I would do is turn all the breakers off and then on again to make sure that they are reset and ready to send power to the GFCI. Then try the trip/reset button again.

You could also put a voltmeter on the LINE side of the GFCI to be sure, however, if the reset button won't latch it sounds like the GFCI is bad.

When replacing the GFI, there is a LOAD side and a LINE side. Remove the BAD GFI and make note of which wire are hooked to the LINE and LOAD side. Then leave the black and the white wires exposed in air and separated. Then with power on, check to see which is hot. That will be the LINE side. Kill power, install and check to see if that fixes your problem. Hope that helps and work safely...

no power

Had the same issue with my brand new 2014 R-Pod after three months! I did the usual, checked the GFI which I found out does control 5 of my outlets, including my fridge! It wouldn't re-set so I replaced it and the new one wouldn't reset either! That told me there was a short in the circuitry somewhere so I took it in for service under warranty. Found out that I had a small leak under the sink which was previously repaired but the damage was done! There was a terminal coupling right under the sink because of my slider and the slow drip corroded the terminal to the point that it caused the GFI to trip. They eliminated the terminal entirely at the shop so even if there are future water issues it won't shut down half the trailer!

Your situation may be different but I ran accross something similar to this in our motorhome. Thought issue was GFI rec but after testing line side connections I found no power going to it even after re setting breaker in MH panel . Turned out one of the legs of pedestal beaker was shot - only half my panel was energized. The half that had GFI breaker was dead You might want to put voltage tester accross line and load side of breaker to see if you're getting power to breaker

PS Slight clarification - the breaker I'm referring to ( to test) is the one in your panel .

Good Point...

I always start my troubleshooting at the power source. I agree that if it was okay at home but not at the campground, then the power at the pedestal is a good starting point. My RV is 30 amp/120, so I only have one hot leg to worry about. It's all or nothing in my RV...
