No power with batteries, batteries okay

We just returned from a wonderful 8 week trip out west. When we arrived, there is no power from the batteries to the trailer. I checked with a voltmeter and both batteries read 12.7. I noticed the battery cut off switch, which usually has a small green light when on, has no light. I checked the inverter and all looks well. Everything works when the trailer is pulled in.

Any suggestion on what to check to troubleshoot the problem?

Many thanks!
