Not enough power from battery

First, I must apologize this is not a Forest Product in question. It is a Venture RV Sonic 231VRL. But this is the most active RV forum, so I hope you will help me anyway.

Venture RV runs a cheap either 10 or 12 gauge wire from the batteries back about 20' to the power center in my trailer. Then they use 12 gauge throughout the trailer like most manufacturers, including FR, do. I need to be able to run 2 CPAPS in my bedroom and, when boondocking, there simply is not enough 12v power in the bedroom to run 2 CPAPS.

My bedroom is right above the pass-through storage compartment in the front of the trailer. I am thinking about running a 10 gauge wire (or maybe even 6 gauge) down from the bedroom through the pass-through storage, out the front of the trailers to the battery on a 30 amp circuit breaker.

Now, I could simply terminate this wire at the outlets for the CPAPs. Or, I could also tie this secondary power supply into the trailer's 12v DC power wiring by splicing it into existing wiring in the bedroom.

Looking for your opinions?

I’m not sure which CPAP you are using. Mine is a Resmed.. here is a link to the battery guide for their CPAP.. https://document.resmed.com/en-us/do...de_glo_eng.pdf

They don’t draw a lot of current unless you’re using dehumidifiers and heaters. Luckily I don’t.

I’ve done something similar. I bought a 12vdc input brick so I can connect directly to the battery. My bedroom slide is right over the battery. I Velcro the brick under my slide (to keep out of weather) and then snake the cord into the bedroom by closing the slide a little to push thru and then re-extend the slide. The dc-dc brick has a cigarette lighter type plug so I bought an alligator clip to cigarette plug adapter. I clip alligator leads to battery and plug the brick into the cigarette adapter and am just fine.
