Portable Surge Protectors

Newbie obviously here and reading reviews and going through all the different systems gives one a headache!

So, to a portable 30 amp surge protector and what actually protects for low as well as high voltage.

I am leaning hard toward the Hughes Autoformer with the EPO that protects against low and high voltage. It has a replaceable module if an over surge burns it out.

Anyone use this system that can give feedback good or bad and to include if you can say why not to go with this system over another???

I have a 50amp Hughes Autoformer and have been happy with it. It did malfunction and was boosting voltage regardless if it needed to or not. It took sending it back to Hughes to be resolved, so I was without it for a couple of weeks.

It has lights on the front indicating different wiring issues.

Where I liked having it in conjunction with my EMS is that it doesn't seem to cut power when it identifies an issue. It just alerts you if you're looking at the lights.
