Just bought the latest from powerhouse a 3600 watt, 30 amp rated Generator. Fuel Injected and 9 hours runtime at full load. Great introductory pricing as well. Once I get it from the supplier I will let everyone know how it does and ho loud it is, ratings are same Honda on the 3100.

So did you get the PH4000Ri/E?

Just reading the specs. EFI is pretty awesome in an engine this small. It does look kinda heavy (160#) and a little loud (64db at no load, 74 db at full load.) I'm looking forward to your report once you get it up and running. Congrats on the purchase!

I bought it from the Candiasn distributer Coast Canada at the trailer show. When he delivers mine he is bringing a 3100 as well. I have sound pressure loudness analyzer. Will conduct field noise tests. I have a load bank to load it down as well.

first, Honda doesn't make a 3100 inverter generator. Champion does.
second, NO WAY is the Powerhouse anywhere near as quiet as the Honda 3000 inverter generator. it has lower db ratings than even the Honda 2000.

as Taranwanderer said, at 64+db at NO load, it's way noisier than the Honda 3000, which is only 49db at 1/4 load. that's a difference of at least 15db.
and probably even quieter with no load.
