PriorityStart protects battery life

Anyone have experience with this product?

Seriously considering it to protect against those uh-oh times when the disconnect is forgotten.

They are not very reliable based on my experience. We have about 20 of them in our fleet because the mechanics can not figure out what is causing the batteries to die. Well, I happen to have 1 vehicle in the lot right now waiting for a tow because the car has no electrical power. Either the battery is dead, which is not supposed to happen or the Priority Start has failed and will not let power through it. This is a constantly recurring scenario over the last 6 years or so when they started installing these band aid fixes.

You may have better luck. I would rather keep a lithium battery boost pack to jump the vehicle than to rely on the Priority Start.

We routinely carry a battery boost pack. They work well and don't take up a lot of space. Ours recharges using 110, usb or a power 12v connection. Most have emergency lights so it's dual use. Most have connections to charge your phone also.
