Reattach Ground?

Got the trailer back from the dealer and discovered some weird wiring issues that I swear weren’t there. Oh well.

This first one I think is a broken ground - what is the best way to fix it?

This next one I think is an accident waiting to happen. Not sure what these wires do (emergency brake?) but anyway to tidy them up?

I was thinking for the ground, scraping away some paint and zipping in a self-tapping screw. But I didn't want to compromise the strength of the frame by putting a hole in it. Kind of surprised that isn't what they did from the factory... the welded (?) on bolt seems like an overly complicated process considering how cheaply these things are built.

If a tek screw in the frame weakens it that much, there are bigger things going on. I'd scratch off the paint, install it as you said with a self tapping screw, and I'd spray it with some anti-corrosion paint. It looks like the one connection in a pic is showing some signs of corrosion.

Lol fair point! Good advice on the paint as well - don't need this happening again.

For those other wires maybe I'll just try and tuck them into the loom and zip tie them shut.

Thanks!
