regarding battery operation of lights and slide

We just bought a 2021 Puma Unleashed toy hauler, model 382THS. When stopped, at a wayside for instance, the lights and slide on the unit won't operate unless I have my truck running. The RV battery checks out good, the connections tight, the trucks fuses good. Any suggestions would be appreciated

Does it have a battery disconnect switch?

Follow the battery wire + until it hit a resetable fuse about the size of a match box and either grey or black should be on the frame up front

how do you know that the batteries are good?

the power you are getting from the truck is routed right to the batteries. basically they are an extension of the trailer batteries. if thing work when the the truck is connected that says things like disconnect switch and resettable circuit breaker are ok.

only thing i can thing of is the batteries are dead. what do the measure when you test the with a volt meter?

have you ever hooked up to shore power to charge them?

Dealer/warranty if you are close enough. Sounds like trailer batteries are dead. If everything works hooked up to truck, that rules out disconnect and circuit breakers.

I want to thank everyone who had suggestions as to what the problem was. I was able to get further into the battery compartment and found that the batteries negative cable had come loose from the crimp connector at the ground connection. So I guess it was sort of a battery disconnect switch.
