Removing 921 light bulbs

I have a 2013 Sunseeker and want to replace the incandescent light bulbs with LED bulbs. The fixtures are pancake type lights that are used on the ceiling. My problem is I cannot get the old 921 bulbs out of the fixture. I have pulled them straight forward and they won’t budge. I am afraid if I use to much force I will break the bulb. If anyone has a trick or solution to remove the old bulbs I am open to suggestions. I have attach a photo of the fixture. Thanks for your concern.

If you do end up breaking them, they have those exact size fixtures in LED.

They just pull straight out of the socket toward the fat end of the bulb. Get a pair of cotton gloves with the rubber dots, or leather gloves and pull on them. Sometimes they stick in the fixtures, so you may need to pull on them pretty hard.

I had the same problem with two of my lights as you described. Those 921's are around 18 watts. They get hot if left on for a period of time. Too hot in fact for the plastic and the socket becomes distorted due to the heat. Rather than hunt around for LED "bulbs", I replaced the entire light with these:

They use COB style LEDs rather than bulbs.

It helps to wiggle them, both left-right and up-down while applying a pulling force.

There are a bunch of different LEDs with a 921-style base which have various different numbers of LED chips. We like it bright and favor the style below. They come with socket adapters for all common sockets. They come with an adhesive foam back, but if you are applying them to a concave-dished fixture it helps to apply another layer or two of double-faced foam adhesive.

I like them Warm white as they are closer to the color of the bulbs you are replacing. I bought the cool white by accident and my wife did not let me get away with it. was like having blue lights in the trailer.

also make sure your buying one rated over 12v as your camper sees into the 15v range at times from its charger. the 12v ones get hot and burn out.
Here is what I used last time.

Success

I was finally able to remove the 921 bulbs by using a greater amount force. I was hesitant to use too much force, but after reading the comments I was more confident. Thanks for your suggestions. I can always rely on this forum for help.

Keep the shape, you might need some force to insert the LED replacement.

Then... happyness will come !

First it's not a big deal replacing these old bulbs. Here is the link for them in Amazon:https://www.amazon.com/Bright-Traile...0840667&sr=8-6.

don't replace the whole light. let me know if you need anything else.
