Renogy stuff on Amazon
Does anyone have experience buying Renogy stuff from Amazon? They have prices listed for some items that are substantially lower than other places, so I'm a little nervous about getting genuine goods and not counterfeit.
For example- the 2000W pure sine wave inverter that I'm looking at is $399 from Renogy but only $306.99 on Amazon. Strangely it's also listed for $475.66 from Home Depot, while their price on the 40A Rover solar controller is identical to Amazon at $206.74.

I bought a Renogy battery from Amazon. No issues for me. I think it was about 4 years ago.

While not Renogy, I have bought HQST Solar stuff from Amazon at a cheaper price than HQST themselves. It was true and authentic.
Amazon is widely known to beat up vendors on pricing, forcing vendors many times to sell at a cheaper price than they normally would just for the luxury of being able to sell on Amazon. As long as it’s sold by Amazon itself then returning is a breeze, and Renogy will honor warranty issues or product questions.
If you have questions you could always call Renogy customer service and ask them if they sell on Amazon, or if they will price match Amazons price.

Renogy also has an Ebay store. ( do a google search for "Renogy Ebay" ) There you can find deals similar to the Amazon prices as well as some open box returns for even less. Last year I got a 100W suitcase solar kit with the 20A Voyager controller for $170. Their Refurbished items and Stock Clearance categories often have good deals.

If it says on the Amazon website "Sold by Amazon" "Shipped by Amazon" then it is genuine.

Thanks for the responses. I'll be placing an order with Amazon soon.
Boondocking- your setup sounds a lot like what I'm trying to build and on a similar camper. I'll hit you up via PM for some more details if you don't mind.

We have a Wildwood FSX 179BDKX that were hitting the road after retiring this yr. the goal is 500w on the roof, 400ah lithium batteries and a 5000w inverter to run the single A/C. Yes, this will take some time to finish but isn't that what the "Golden Yrs" is all about? Happy travels & good luck with this.

I bought stuff directly from Renogy's web site, and it arrived in Amazon boxes. I assumed from that Renogy uses Amazon for their logistics.

I bought my Inverter from Amazon. Sold by and Shipped by Amazon.
Renogy can ship a truckload of product to Amazon creating an economy of scale with the large shipment to a single location. Amazon warehouses which is another savings for Renogy. Re-distributing through the Amazon network is another savings for both Renogy and the customer.
BTW, same for other products and as long a it's Sold By and Shipped By Amazon you have easy recourse if needing to return for any reason.
The last return I made to Amazon I just dropped the item on the counter at a UPS store, showed the QR code on my phone, and received a receipt. UPS packaged it and returned it the same day. Refund showed up 3 days later.
Hard to beat and often big price savings too.

As others have said, I have had no issues buying Renogy products, such as solar panels and power monitor for our Renogy Lithium battery, on Amazon. We have also purchased several pieces of Victron equipment from Amazon with no issues.

I have purchased two small Renogy charge controllers from Amazon. Both have failed. It may have been the outdoor use they didn't like.

Renogy Battery Teardown
Will Prowse did a teardown of Renogy's 100 AHr LiFePO4 battery. Interesting in what he did and didn't say. Regardless a good watch.
https://youtu.be/aahHWaV6Zdk
I've just ordered the heated version of the updated battery and comfortable with the quality and safety. Have a DC to DC charger coming and will fully bench test. The spec's are good but it has to have the quality to support it.
As to Renogy they front through Amazon but correspondence seems to be from their China location. Not necessarily a bad thing but it does add time. There can be discrepancies between Renogy's site and Amazon. I ordered initially through Amazon but next will be through Renogy. Like any vendor the real test is down the road when a warrantee issue comes up.
