My EMS is 5 years old and has an 80 second delay. My AC has it's own delay built in so don't need the 80 seconds. If your AC has a delay built in then leave it.

That's what I've been asking. How do I determine whether my AC has a built in delay.

Leave it running, cut the power at your inside panel then back on. Time how long it takes to come back on.

A jumper is moved to change the delay in the EMS.

Paul, I thought about that but didn't know whether the fan would come back on and the compressor wait till the allotted delay?
